Job Title and Location

Natural Gas Distribution Inspector Level 1-4
Location: Austin, TX

Level 1
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections on pipelines to assess structural integrity, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports outlining findings, recommendations, and required repairs.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices, including PHMSA part 192, OSHA site safety, Maximo/Moblite, Locus IQ, Pragma CAD, as‑built drawings, and ONE MAP.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in pipeline inspection or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline construction, maintenance, and repair processes.
Level 2
Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in distribution construction activities including main line installation, service line installation, tie‑ins, service and mainline retirements, leak repair, regulator settings, and weld mapping.
  • Conduct inspections of pipelines with a focus on line extensions and rebuild services.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of pipeline inspection experience, focusing on line extensions and rebuild services.
  • Knowledge of pipeline construction, maintenance, and repair processes related to line extensions and rebuild projects.
Level 3
Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in distribution construction activities, including main line installation, service line installation, tie‑ins, retirements, leak repair, regulator settings, and weld mapping.
  • Spearhead capital rebuild and relocation projects, overseeing planning to execution while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and address leaks swiftly to minimize environmental impact and ensure community safety.
Qualifications
  • 5–6 years of pipeline inspection experience focused on capital rebuilds, relocations, and leak detection.
  • API 1169 certification.
Level 4
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor work performed by contractors on gas pipeline and service installations, replacements, and relocations within the company’s service area.
  • Ensure work aligns with company standards and 49 CFR 192.
  • Oversee transmission projects, ensuring pipeline integrity, safety, and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands‑on pipeline inspection experience, focused on transmission projects.
  • CPWI certification.
  • API 1169 certification.
