Job summary

TC Energy in Houston is seeking a Pipeline Crossings Engineer to join our Right of Way and Threat Management team. You will evaluate third-party activities that may impact pipeline integrity and perform engineering assessments for crossings, encroachments, and related projects.

You will collaborate with Operations, Land, Regulatory, and project teams, review drawings and GIS data, and develop practical mitigation and relocation plans while ensuring compliance with ASME B31.8 and PHMSA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-8 years of engineering experience in pipeline operations, integrity, construction, or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess proposed pipeline crossing and encroachment requests.
• Perform crossing assessments for road, utility, rail, drainage, and development projects.
• Initiate projects for pipeline mitigations or relocations as necessary.
• Review drawings, GIS information, and project documentation.
• Evaluate third-party activities and provide engineering recommendations to protect pipeline integrity.
• Recommend mitigation measures and damage prevention requirements.
