Job summary

Marathon Pipe Line LLC in Findlay, Ohio seeks a Pipeline Controller for a 24/7 operations role. You will monitor SCADA, follow procedures for start-up/shutdown, and coordinate with field operations to ensure on-time delivery of products.

The position includes comprehensive training, a 5-year commitment, and a requirement to live within 60 minutes of the Operations Center, with potential career growth into various support functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree by time of hire or HS Diploma/GED with five years Marathon experience
• No experience required.
• Basic PC skills are required.
• Must pass a color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Effectively navigates computer-based user interface or SCADA to monitor and control pipeline systems.
• Follows procedures to safely operate and monitor pipeline systems during start-up, shutdown, and product changes.
• Communicates with field operations and 3rd party control rooms during operational changes or alarms.
• Maintains pipeline systems within a set schedule to ensure on-time delivery of customer product.
• Recognizes abnormal operating conditions and directs personnel in response using training and procedures.
• Pursues knowledge to suggest improvements and assist peers.
• Travel required is very minimal.
