Job summary

Marathon Pipe Line LLC seeks a Pipeline Controller in San Antonio, TX to monitor and control MPL pipeline assets from a centralized Operations Center. You will operate within a 24/7 rotating 12-hour shift schedule and participate in extensive training before autonomous remote monitoring.

A 5-year commitment to the Operations Center is required. Qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with Marathon experience, plus basic PC skills and color vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required by hire date or HS Diploma/GED with five years of Marathon experience.
• Basic PC skills required.
• Must be able to pass a color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pipeline systems via SCADA and computer interface during shifts.
• Follow procedures for start-up, shutdown, and flow adjustments.
• Communicate effectively with field operations and third-party control rooms.
• Maintain systems on schedule to ensure on-time product delivery.
• Recognize abnormal conditions and direct personnel using procedures.
• Pursue knowledge of operated systems and center processes for improvements.
