Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking an Audit/Compliance professional to plan, conduct, and document Tier 1 and Tier 2 reviews of core pipeline safety programs across the service areas of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas.

Expect analysis of data, records, and processes, with findings communicated to management and corrective actions developed with cross-functional partners. The role emphasizes collaboration, risk identification, and continuous improvement to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operation of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, physical science or related field is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience; minimum 1 year.
• Working knowledge of audit, compliance, operations and/or regulatory environments.
• Experience with pipeline safety inspection and audit programs preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate the compliance programs (control room management, operator qualifications, drug/alcohol, integrity management, damage prevention, public awareness, emergency response).
• Execute fieldwork steps on assigned audits.
• Identify gaps and draft corrective actions with program owners/operations.
• Write audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Provide information for responses to regulatory inquiries and notices.
• Research and interpret pipeline safety rules from state and federal regulations.
