Garney Construction is seeking a Pipelayer to join our field operations. You will assemble, install and repair underground pipes and fittings for water, sewer and drain projects, including metallic, plastic, ductile iron, steel and concrete pipe.

Two years of pipe installation experience with large diameter systems required. You must be willing to travel, work overtime and complete Garney certifications such as Rigging and Signaling, Confined Space, and OSHA 10.

Competenze

• Two years of experience installing large diameter pipes for water, sewer, storm drain.

Mansioni

• Prepare area for pipe laying by directing trenching and grading.
• Assist equipment Operators in position of pipe.
• Direct equipment Operators with hand signals.
• Backfill around pipe using hand tools.
• Set up and work with pipe lasers and transits.
• Locate and mark pipes and fittings in underground trench.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings and pipe composed of metal, PVC, ductile and concrete.
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, and plastic cement.
• Test pipes for leakage and measure/cut pipe.
