Job summary

Garney is seeking a Pipelayer in Loveland, CO to install and repair underground pipes for water, sewer, and drainage projects. You will read blueprints, set up pipe layouts, and work with multiple pipe materials while following safety certifications and overtime requirements.

The role requires two years of pipe installation experience, ability to read plans, and willingness to obtain company certifications; benefits and competitive pay are provided across a variety of plans and a 3.5% 401(k)

Qualifications

• Two years of experience installing large diameter pipes for water, sewer, storm drain.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine work procedures.
• Must be able to stand all day and perform assigned tasks.
• Must complete Garney-provided certifications (Rigging/Signaling, Confined Space, OSHA 10).
• Must be willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the area for pipe laying by directing trenching and grading.
• Perform laborer duties as required.
• Assist equipment operators in placing pipe.
• Direct equipment operators with hand signals.
• Backfill around pipe using hand tools.
• Set up and work with pipe lasers and transits.
• Locate and mark pipe positions in underground trench.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings and pipe (metal, PVC, ductile, concrete).
• Joins pipes with screws, bolts, fittings, solder, and solvent cement.
• Test pipes for leakage and measure/cut pipe.
