Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking a Pipefitter General Foreman to join our Phoenix, AZ project teams. The role requires switching between plumbing and pipefitting tasks with strong leadership and safety focus. You will supervise crews of 9-14, read blueprints, coordinate schedules, and ensure work meets codes and project specs.

Ideal candidates have at least 8 years’ total experience, 5+ years in pipefitting, and OSHA 30 certification. A journeyman license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial pipefitting experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience required.
• Total experience 8+ years.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Valid journeyman license preferred (additional pay).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems including Heating Water, Chilled Water, Condenser Water, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Lab & Medical Gases, Refrigeration, Fuel & Oil, and High & Low-Pressure Steam.
• Coordinate crew tasks and workflow under established procedures.
• Provide direct supervision to crews of 9-14 individuals.
• Ensure compliance with McCarthy Safety Guidelines and project specifications.
• Interpret plans, specifications, VDC/BIM models, spool sheets, and drawings.
