Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Pipefitter General Foreman to lead and perform pipefitting duties as needed in the Phoenix, AZ region. The role requires flexibility to switch between plumbing and pipefitting tasks based on project demands and crew needs.

The successful candidate will supervise 9–14 workers, coordinate trades, ensure safety adherence, and contribute to on-site problem solving. A strong background in pipefitting with leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial pipefitting experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Must interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in planning trade installations and scheduling work activities.
• Supervision and guidance of crews with 9-14+ individuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems including HVAC, chillers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Lead and coordinate multiple projects and crews on site.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and BIM/VDC models.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety procedures.
• Schedule inspections and manage subcontractors and vendors.
• Mentor apprentices and junior team members on the job site.
