Position Overview

The Pipefitter/Welder Foreman manages daily activities of a team, ensuring safety and quality in pipefitting and welding. Responsibilities include configuring, installing, fitting, and maintaining piping systems, and ensuring their smooth operation.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Plan, prepare, install, and maintain piping and plumbing systems using various materials.
  2. Read blueprints, schematics, and instructions; create procedures based on specifications.
  3. Gather equipment and materials for projects.
  4. Perform welding, cutting, bending, threading, soldering, and fitting of pipes.
  5. Attach pipes to walls and install pipe coverings, following safety and environmental regulations.
  6. Inspect pipes for leaks and pressure issues; troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  7. Coordinate with management for maintenance and repairs to minimize disruptions.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  9. Maintain safety logs and inspection records.
  10. Support site safety and promote a positive safety culture.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Basic math skills.
  • Proficiency with tools like blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welders.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
