Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Pipefitter Helper for the West Bartow Reclamation Facility in Kingston, GA. The role involves assembling, installing, and replacing piping systems and related components, while supporting skilled pipefitters on the jobsite.

You will work with piping systems for water, steam, air, and other fluids, and participate in material handling and setup for on-site construction teams.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Experience working with piping systems and fixtures; knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, and installs piping and tubing systems that are to conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids in and around buildings and structures.
• Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage and sewage lines from buildings to the point of attachment.
• Handles and moves materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.
