Job summary

PALA Group, Inc. in Louisiana is seeking a Pipefitter with strong piping, rigging and flagging skills to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping per specs.

The candidate will read isometrics and blueprints, select appropriate pipe materials, and rig and bolt connections while maintaining a safe work environment. Four years of piping experience and NCCER Pipefitting certification are preferred; in-house assessment required.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in piping, rigging and flagging.
• Experience reading drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Must pass in-house Pipe Fitter Assessment Test.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and correct hazards immediately.
• Read and interpret isometrics, drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Select type and size of pipe and related materials per specs.
• Prepare pipe lengths and set up joints for welding.
• Bolt up flanges using proper procedure, bolts and gaskets.
• Test piping systems for leaks by pressurizing and observing gauges.
