Job summary

Gallo Mechanical, LLC in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to layout, fabricate, install and maintain piping systems for commercial projects. You will read blueprints, select materials, and assemble pipe and fittings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of pipe-fitting experience.
• Reads specifications, plans and blueprints to understand work.
• Ability to read and utilize Pipefitter's Blue Book.

Responsibilities

• Reads studies and interprets job specs, plans and blueprints.
• Selects pipe type and size and related materials.
• Inspects site for obstructions and structural integrity.
• Plans installation sequence to avoid conflicts.
• Cuts, threads and bends pipe per specs.
• Assembles and installs pipe and fittings.
• Joins pipe and secures to structure with clamps.
• Tests piping system for leaks by pressure gauge readings.
