Job summary

SPC Mechanical Corporation seeks an experienced Pipefitter Foreman to oversee field installation activities for hydronic and steam systems on industrial and commercial projects. Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years industrial/commercial pipefitting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schematic form.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as geometry.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead work crews in the pipefitting trade; supervise 2–6 employees.
• Ensure adherence to SPC procedures and project specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors to achieve timely, quality work.
• Provide feedback to SPC staff on project status.
• Instruct staff in hydronic pipefitting techniques and procedures.
• Pre-plan and review work on hydronic and steam/condensate systems.
• Inspect completed work for conformity with drawings.
• Operate as working crew supervisor for pipe installation and testing.
• Assist with cutting, threading, welding, and pressure testing of piping.
