Job summary

Environmental Air Systems in High Point, NC seeks skilled Pipefitters for our manufacturing shop. You will install industrial piping systems, read blueprints, and supervise helpers while following safety procedures.

Applicants should have at least a high school education and 5 years pipefitter experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. The role is on-site with standard hours and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and submittals to plan work.
• Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines.
• Supervise helpers and mentor junior staff.
• Inspect, cap, repair and test piping installations.
• Adhere to all EAS safety procedures.

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Pipefitters to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina.

Schedule

6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location

High Point, NC

Responsibilities

• Install industrial piping systems: chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water
• Read blueprints and submittals
• Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines
• Work independently and problem solve
• Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping
• Instruct plumbing helpers under your supervision
• Practice all EAS safety procedures

Education Requirements / Qualifications

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Rigging knowledge preferred
• 5 years pipefitter experience preferred
• Knowledge of pipefitter equipment, power tools, and fabrication methods
• Knowledge of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions
• General knowledge of code requirements and limitations
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, including ladders

• Ownership of pipefitter hand tools

• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
