Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a highly motivated Pipefitter Apprentice II to support our HVAC and piping operations. This role requires foundational pipefitting experience and offers a strong pathway for advancement into higher level positions.

The apprentice will assist with installation, modification, and repair of commercial piping systems under guidance, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of pipefitting or related HVAC trade experience in a commercial construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior pipefitters with the installation, modification, and repair of commercial piping systems.
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools used in pipefitting activities.
• Collaborate effectively with other trades and project team members.

Skills

Basic understanding of commercial HVAC and piping systems

Basic piping math skills

Basic welding knowledge or willingness to learn
