Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Mid South is seeking a highly motivated, ethical, and safety‑oriented Pipefitter Apprentice II to support our commercial HVAC and piping operations.

This role offers a strong pathway for advancement into Pipefitter Apprentice III and Journeyman‑level roles, with work performed in both field and pipe shop environments on commercial construction and retrofit projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of pipefitting or HVAC trade experience in commercial construction.
• Basic understanding of HVAC and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior pipefitters with installation, modification, and repair of commercial piping systems.
• Install piping materials (carbon steel, copper) under supervision and per codes.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and diagrams; perform layout, measuring, and cutting tasks.
• Perform basic pipe welding and fit-up tasks as assigned.
• Support installation of pumps, boilers, chillers, and related systems.
• Collaborate with other trades and project team members; maintain safety and housekeeping.
