Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a helper to assist journeyman pipefitters in laying out, fabricating, assembling and installing piping systems and related equipment. You will cut, thread, bend, and secure pipes while ensuring safety standards and efficient workmanship.

Responsibilities include site inspection, planning installation sequences, and testing piping for leaks. The role requires basic math, adherence to instructions, and the ability to work under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years in the field.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Work under supervision and assist foreman or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman pipefitters with layout, fabrication, and installation of piping systems.
• Inspect site for obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cut, thread, bend, and secure pipe using standard tools and equipment.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning piping and controls.
• Test piping systems for leaks and observe gauges for indications.
