Job Summary:

Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes that carry liquids or gases in various industrial and commercial environments.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of pipes.
2. Cutting, threading, grooving, gluing, and bending pipes using various tools and equipment. Installing piping supports of Unistrut, pipe hangers, cushion clamps, etc.
3. Installing and connecting pipes, fittings, valves, and other components according to the specifications. Experienced with PVC, CPVC, Steel, Copper, Stainless Steel.
4. Testing pipes for leaks using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, or other methods.
5. Repairing or replacing damaged pipes, fittings, or valves.
6. Collaborating with other construction professionals, such as plumbers, welders, and HVAC technicians, to ensure proper installation and functioning of the piping system.
7. Following safety regulations and using personal protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
8. Maintaining records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial/industrial pipefitting.
2. Willing to travel a minimum of 2 weeks per year.
3. Willing to work weekends (when applicable).
4. Experience in safely operating (but not limited to): scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, fork trucks.
5. Ability to work from heights and ladders.
6. Have a professional and courteous attitude.
7. Pay will be based on experience.
