Description

Team Fishel, the BestChoice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire Gas Fuser/Pipe Fitter with relevant experience for our Rochester, PA location. The purpose of a Gas Fuser/Pipe Fitter is to install steel or plastic gas piping of all sizes using various methods. The starting pay range for this position is $20 - $24 per hour, commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

1. Install new gas mains & services using tools related to poly pipe fusion, black iron, and HVAC work.
2. Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications, by means of poly fusion, mechanical joining, threading, and flanges.
3. Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, observation, or other methods.
4. Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
5. Lay out pipe systems, supports, and related equipment following blueprints.
6. Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
7. Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related equipment following specifications and using hand and power tools.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Have 1 year of related work experience.
3. A valid CDL Driver's license is a plus, but not required.
4. Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).
5. Occasional extended travel may be required (Per Diem paid for all out-of-town projects).

Prior construction/HVAC experience is a plus but not required.

Team Fishel will provide on-the-job and classroom training in all areas of natural gas distribution, including safety procedures, gas procedures, tool operation, and maintenance.
