Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Richmond, VA is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Pipe Yard to pull conduit and related materials, verify counts, and stage orders for customer pickup or branch transfers.

You will operate a sit-down forklift, participate in loading/unloading, and keep the yard organized and safe as part of a crew. Prior forklift certification and pipe yard experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain through onsite training.
• Pipe bander experience a plus; training provided.
• Ability to perform physical requirements and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Pull EMT, PVC conduit, strut, galvanized/IMC, and related material for customers and branches.
• Verify counts on every pull and stage completed orders for pickup or transfer.
• Operate sit-down forklift and pipe bander safely; perform pre-shift inspections.
• Keep the pipe yard organized, clean, and navigable; restock and reorganize material locations after pulls.
• Work within a crew; communicate proactively and cover shifts as volume spikes.
