Shepherd Electric Supply in Laurel, MD is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Pipe Yard to join our front-line fulfillment crew. You will pull pipe and conduit, verify counts, and stage orders for pickup or transfer, ensuring accuracy and timely readiness for contractors.

You will operate a sit‑down forklift, perform pre‑shift inspections, and help keep the yard organized and safe. A strong work ethic, teamwork, and ownership of your area help us deliver on our promises to customers and branches

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification (sit-down) required or ability to obtain through onsite training.
• Experience with yard work or material handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull EMT, PVC conduit, strut, galvanized/IMC, and related material for customers and branches.
• Verify counts on every pull — accuracy is non‑negotiable in this role.
• Stage completed orders clearly for customer pickup or branch transfer.
• Load and offload trucks safely and accurately and confirm outbound loads match the order.
• Operate sit‑down forklift and pipe bander; complete pre‑shift inspections and report maintenance needs.
