Role Overview

The Pipe Yard Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining various pipe machining equipment to produce high‑quality precision components. Your expertise in machining techniques and attention to detail will be pivotal in meeting strict industry standards and ensuring the flawless performance of our products.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate pipe machining equipment, such as threaders, grinders, bandsaws, and other tools, following technical specifications and blueprints.
• Machine pipes and components to precise measurements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials and finished products to identify defects or irregularities.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
• Collaborate with management to optimize processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise to minimize downtime.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified in relevant technical certifications or training preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in Distribution or Manufacturing industries.
• Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Proficient in operating pipe machining equipment.
• In‑depth knowledge of various machining techniques and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and precision‑driven mindset.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal).
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail‑oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities and maintaining a consistent work approach.
• Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
