Job summary

Venturi Supply in Decatur, GA is hiring a Fabrication Associate to create finished products from drawings and material cut lists provided by the Manufacturing Project Manager. You will work hands-on on shop floor tasks, read blueprints, measure accurately, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma required.
  • Technical knowledge of machinery, tools, gauging, and fabrication.
  • At least 1 year of fabrication experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Quality control experience.
  • Math and geometry basics.
  • Team player with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Tack material and finish welds to create finished product.
  • Read blueprints and sketches and follow instructions.
  • Measure materials with tape and gauges.
  • Perform shop math including fractions.
  • Layout and mark dimensions on materials.
  • Operate fabricating machines and use air/hand tools.
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Handle additional projects as assigned.
  • Fulfill other duties as required.

Role Overview

The Fabrication Associate is responsible for creating finished products based on drawings and material cut lists provided by the Manufacturing Project Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Tacks material together and checks that layout is correct based on drawing and then finish welds material to create finished product.
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches and to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
  • Able to read a tape measure and gauges, type of materials according to specifications.
  • Perform high mathematic shop math, convert decimals to factional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents.
  • Layout, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials.
  • Sets up and operating fabricating machines and knowledge of air/hand tools.
  • Inspects parts for accuracy and produces quality products consistently.
  • Additional project as assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
  • Education GED - High School Diploma.
  • Technical knowledge of machinery, tools, gauging and fabrication.
  • Role requires 1 year of fabrication experience.
  • Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
  • Proven experience with quality control analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of math and geometry.
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
