Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4+ year of warehouse or forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills; forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as crouching, kneeling, and balancing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of Pipe Yard Associates, verify quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products ready for shipment.
• Hands-on supervision of pulling and verifying orders for shipment from warehouse inventory, including inter-company orders.
• Lead staging and preparation of orders for shipment, ensuring neat packaging and proper loading to carriers.
• Ensure pallets/ stacks are organized in a safe area and material is staged properly.
• Complete shipping paperwork in a timely manner and notify salespeople of material shortages.
• Count, weigh, measure, or examine packing and contents for conformance to specs.
• Cross-train team members from other departments.
• Audit packed items with customer orders and other identifying data.
• Wrap and identify skids and load onto correct trucks; assist with putting pipe and stock away; operate forklift safely.
