Job summary

Epsilon Industries is seeking a Pipe Fitting & Welding professional for an on-site, Alabama-based role. The position includes a 90-day on-site training period at the Tuscaloosa facility with a $500 per week per diem during training and transfer to the Oxford facility upon completion.

Responsibilities include fabricating and welding piping systems, ensuring ASME/AWS code compliance, and leading fitters and welders in maintaining quality and schedule. Strong reading of drawings is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Pipe Fitter/Steamfitter Journeyman by trade.
• 1–3 years industrial experience preferred.

Job: Pipe Fitting & Welding

Reports to: Pipe Lead

This is a fully on-site position. The employee will complete a minimum 90-day on-site training period at Epsilon Industries’ Tuscaloosa, Alabama facility and will receive a per diem of $500 per week during the training period. Upon completion of training, the position will transfer to and remain fully on-site at Epsilon Industries’ Oxford, Alabama facility.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Fit and weld piping systems to spec, sequence, and schedule.
• Oversee accurate layout, support install, and final spool readiness.
• Own the full spool lifecycle—material prep, fitting, welding, and QC readiness.
• Balance throughput and craftsmanship—your team reflects your standard.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead fabrication of spool assemblies and system piping.
• Ensure code compliance (ASME, AWS) and proper documentation.
• Track fitting/welding progress per module schedule.

Expectations:

• Ownership: Treat pipe scope as critical infrastructure—quality and function are non-negotiable.
• Execution: Balance speed and quality. Ensure joints are clean, spaced, and properly supported.
• Leadership: Train new fitters/welders and uphold discipline in work areas.
• Problem Solving: Flag design issues or missing BOM early and elevate quickly.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
• Must be a Pipe Fitter/Steamfitter Journeyman by trade
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years industrial experience is preferred
• Must be able to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck
• Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
• Able to work independently or as a team player
• Able to take direction and communicate with others
• Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented
