Job summary

G.A. West & Co. is hiring Pipe Welders in McIntosh, AL for a 1-2 week outage. Positions are open for both day and night shift. Per diem is available for those who qualify.

You must understand weld symbols and drawings and be able to pass ASME weld tests using stick, TIG, flux core and MIG processes. You will weld different metals and operate power tools safely, with exposure to NDT exams and work in heights, scaffolds, tight spaces and plant environments.

Qualifications

• Must understand weld symbols and drawings.
• Capable of passing ASME weld test with stick, tig, flux core and mig processes.
• Capable of welding various metals: stainless, carbon, chrome, hastelloy, monel, inconel, nickel etc.
• Capable and proficient in handling and using all associated power tools safely.
• Capable of passing NDT exam performed by radiography, UT, MT, PT and Dye Penetrate.
• Capable of working at heights, on scaffolds, in confined spaces and in plant environments.
