G.A. West & Company, Inc. has multiple openings for Pipefitters in Apple Grove, WV.

These temporary roles are expected to last 2–3 months with potential for follow-on projects across the Southern United States. Candidates must read Isometric, Orthographic, and P&ID drawings and understand fitting take-out and make-up. Prospective employees should be familiar with pipe materials, schedules, offsets, and complex calculations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret Isometric, Orthographic, and P&ID drawings.
• Understand fitting take out and make up.
• Familiar with various pipe grades and schedules.
• Capable of calculating offsets, travel, mitres, and degrees.
• Knowledge of weld gap, high/low, bevel, and weld draw.
• Familiar with flange alignment and pressure ratings.
• Capable of determining cut lengths from drawings.
• Ability to rig piping with chain falls, cranes, and hoists.
• Pull field dimensions for piping replacement or new installs.
• Familiar with wrench sizes, bolts, and related hardware.
• Familiar with OSHA rules and regulations.
• Willing to undergo background check and drug screening.

Job description

G.A. West & Company has several openings for Pipefitters in Apple Grove, WV. These roles are expected to last 2–3 months with opportunities for work afterward on projects throughout the Southern United States.

• Must be able to read and understand Isometric, Orthographic and P&ID drawings
• Must have complete understanding of fitting take out and make up
• Must be familiar with various grades and schedule of materials
• Must be familiar with rolling offsets, travel calculations, mitres, laterals, degrees, square, plumb and level
• Must be familiar with proper weld gap, high low, degree of bevel and weld draw
• Must be familiar with flange two-hole, flange squareness, flange high low and flange pressure ratings
• Must be capable of figuring cut lengths of pipe from isometric drawings
• Must be capable of rigging piping into place with chain falls, com-a-longs, cranes and hoist
• Must be capable of pulling field dimensions for piping replacement or new installations
• Must have complete understanding of wrench sizes, bolts, lengths, grade of nuts, stud lengths etc.
• Must be familiar with OSHA rules and regulations
• Must be willing to undergo background check and drug screening
