Job summary

G.A. West & Co. is hiring Iron Workers for a 1-2 week outage in McIntosh, AL.

These positions are night shift. Per diem is available for those who qualify. Must read and understand orthographic, erection and item drawings; understand beam numbers and erection plans; be familiar with materials, stairs/handrail erection, rigging, crane placement and flagging of loads; experienced with torquing and plumbing of steel structures; must comply with OSHA rules and undergo background check and drug

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand orthographic, erection and item drawings.
• Must have complete understanding of beam numbers and erection plans.
• Must be familiar with various size and types of materials.
• Must be familiar with stairs and handrail erection.
• Must be familiar with proper rigging techniques.
• Must be familiar with crane placement, flagging of loads and lifts, power tools, impacts etc.
• Must be experienced with torquing methods and racking and plumbing steel structures.
• Must be familiar with OSHA rules and regulations.
• Must be willing to undergo background check and drug screening.
