Job summary

US Fusion in Louisiana is seeking an experienced welder to perform stick and TIG welding on various piping sizes in an industrial setting. The role requires reading blueprints and job specs, climbing to elevated platforms, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Candidates should have a minimum of four years as a certified welder or two years as Certified Welder plus two years of equivalent training, with experience in carbon and stainless steels. A welding test will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ experience as a certified welder, or two years’ experience as Certified Welder plus 2 years’ ABC or equivalent training.
• Experienced in stick and TIG pipe welding.
• Experienced in welding carbon, stainless steel and various alloys.
• Must pass required welding test as required by the specific job site.

Responsibilities

• Reads and studies layout, blueprints, diagram, work order and welding procedures to determine work to be done. May also receive oral instructions.
• Plans work in logical sequence and determines tools/equipment needed.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components together.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions and examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Performs Stick(SMAW), TIG(GATW), and Flux Core Welding.
