Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an experienced Welder for our Fire Fabrication shop. You will operate a universal welder to cut and weld steel pipe, following blueprints and measurements to produce quality welds.

The role requires reliable attendance, the ability to pass a drug test, and willingness to work extended hours and weekends. Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of welding experience, read tape measures, and preferably pipe welding certificates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years welding experience.
• Read a tape measure.
• Pipe welding certificates a plus.
• Dependable with good attendance and attitude.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Able to communicate ideas verbally and in writing.
• Able to work Saturdays.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate with others.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and move for 8–12 hour shifts, and pass a drug test.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Take measurements to plan layouts.
• Set up welding machine according to specifications.
• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Test all machine welds to ensure quality.
• Weld by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die test.
• Other duties as assigned.
