Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Pipe Welder at the Riggs Fabrication Facility to fit and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping for industrial projects.

The role requires reading drawings, working safely, and producing high-quality welds that meet codes and customer requirements. 3+ years of pipe welding experience and the ability to pass a welding test are required, with 6G preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial pipe welding experience preferred.
• Ability to pass Loenbro welding test and project weld qualifications.
• 2G, 3G GMAW/FCAW minimum requirements; 6G preferred.
• 6G GTAW/SMAW helpful, not required.
• Strong understanding of weld symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of pipe fabrication, fit-up tolerances, and welding procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fabrication shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW, and GMAW welding processes as required.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, spool sheets, and weld procedures.
• Fabricate and weld carbon steel process piping
• Inspect materials and completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Operate grinders, torches, beveling equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Position Summary:

The Pipe Welder is responsible for fitting and welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems used in industrial and construction projects. This position requires the ability to work safely, read and interpret drawings, and produce high-quality welds that meet applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in industrial, power, semiconductor, mining, or manufacturing environments.
• Current welding certifications or documented weld qualifications.
• Forklift, aerial lift, or rigging experience

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be a quick learner and motivated.
• Must be able to work as a team and solve problems.
