Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an experienced Fab Shop Pipe Welder to join our Casper Fab Shop team in Casper, WY. The ideal candidate will plan, lay out, weld, install, evaluate, and repair steel structures per plans, specs, and welding codes while meeting customer expectations and project budgets.

Candidates should have a solid welding background, be able to supervise helpers, and be willing to travel or relocate as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of welding principles experience.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Welding experience in construction, mining or related industry or a two-year vocational-technical degree preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of various welding codes and specifications.
• Welding processes most used are SMAW and FCAW.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial piping and related structures.
• Supervise and train welder helpers.
• Plan, lay-out, install and/or repair pipe in accordance with contract plans and specs.
• Inspect field conditions, identify problems, and take corrective actions to save costs.
• Select filler metals and construction material for assignments.
• Observe operation of installed equipment to evaluate hazards and determine necessary adjustments.

Job Summary

Loenbro is looking for experienced Welders to join our Casper Fab Shop team. We are looking for hardworking professionals who enjoy meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in welding to complete jobs for customers on time and on budget. Looking for long-term candidates who are looking for a secure and rewarding company to grow with.

This position will plan, lay-out, weld, install, evaluate, and repair all types of steel structures in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial oil refining piping and associated structures.
• Supervise and train welder helpers.
• Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications, and plan, lay-out, install and/or repair all types of pipe in accordance with those plans and specifications.
• Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
• Choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 3 yearsof welding principles experience.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Welding experience in the construction, mining or related industry or prefer a two-year vocational-technical degree.
• Must have working knowledge of various welding codes and specifications.
• Must be familiar with properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
• Welding processes most used are SMAW and FCAW.
