Job summary

Energy Job Shop is seeking Pipe Welders for Red Dog Mine, AK, on a rotational schedule with paid travel. The role involves laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and equipment, requiring certified welder experience and the ability to work in harsh environments.

Candidates should have 5+ years as a certified welder and pass a welding test. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

• Minimum five years experience as a certified pipe welder
• GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW welding experience
• Must pass a pre-employment pipe welding test
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related equipment
• Work in environments with fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat/cold and loud noise
• Meet physical demands and pass pre-employment testing

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or ten (10) years pipe welder experience
• Minimum five (5) years experience as a certified pipe welder
• GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW welding experience
• Must pass a pre-employment pipe welding test
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work in environments with fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat/cold, and loud noise
• Steel toed boots required
• Valid identification for travel (TSA requirements)
