Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Operations Supervisor - Pipe at the Quonset Point Facility in North Kingstown, RI. You will oversee daily assignments, coordinate hourly employees, and drive safety, quality and efficiency on multiple shifts.

The role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to mentor and motivate teams while ensuring production targets and costs are met. A DoD security clearance will be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Willing to work all shifts including 4th/5th shift.

Responsibilities

• Daily assignments and coordination of employees to maximize performance, efficiency and quality.
• Organize and assign work to hourly employees ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Set daily production goals, mentor, motivate and hold crew accountable as required.
• Improve operations, reduce work order span times, streamline processes with other Supervisors.
• Implement process improvements and review production methods and capabilities.
• Meet objectives related to costs, scheduling, training, safety and quality.
• Follow safe work practices and communicate instructions orally or in writing.
• Communicate effectively with subordinates and supervisors.
