Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking a Pipe Foreman to lead a crew on heavy civil drainage and utilities projects. You will ensure production goals, safety, quality, and cost control while coordinating with project managers and subcontractors on schedule and resources.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in heavy civil construction with supervisory experience. Familiarity with pipe types, GPS/robotics, and survey systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in heavy civil construction with drainage structures and utilities.
• Proven supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of pipe types, installation methods, soil mechanics, and excavation procedures.
• Familiarity with GPS, robotics, and technical survey systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions up to 90% of the time.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on uneven terrain.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Must be licensed and approved to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct crew activities to meet production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and cost reports to track progress and resolve material discrepancies.
• Supervise the installation of various pipe materials (RCP, HDPE, Box Culverts, Cylinder, PVC, Ductal).
• Oversee excavation, grading, sloping, and concrete installation with shoring and trench boxes.
• Train, mentor, and guide crew members on safety and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and equipment logs.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other teams to align schedules and resources.
• Enforce safety policies through toolbox talks and field supervision.
