Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Pipelayer to join a heavy civil project. You will assemble, align, and install pipe systems for storm and sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains with emphasis on precise alignment and safe practices.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in utility or roadway construction, with experience in reinforced concrete pipe up to 42 inches and box culverts, plus ability to read drawings and use laser grade tools.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in utility or roadway construction.
• Experience with reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) up to 42" and box culverts (RCB).
• Knowledge of setting grades, laser levels, and slope verification.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, and trench work.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Aufgaben

• Prepare work areas and ensure trenches are properly graded and excavated for pipe installation.
• Set up lasers with grades and verify slopes per project drawings.
• Assemble, align, and connect pipe sections with accurate placement.
• Lay pipe for storm sewers, sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains.
• Seal joints using cement, glue, or sealants.
• Inspect pipe connections for proper fit, spacing, and alignment.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Backfill and compact trenches after pipe installation.
