Job summary

Matrix Service Company seeks an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead field crews on industrial construction projects in North Carolina. You will read blueprints, coordinate pipe installations, alignment, layout and welding, and ensure daily safety compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising crew scheduling, controlling costs, identifying required tools, and ensuring QA/QC on all projects, while following Matrix Service policies and safety training requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ pipefitting experience in industrial construction, maintenance, or new build.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• NCCER certification or ability to pass Craft Skills Test at 70%+.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specs to determine scope, locations, quantities and material sizes.
• Manage crew processes, scheduling, costs, and employee relations.
• Identify tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions to eliminate them.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pipe fitting processes.
• Plan operations to schedule workloads efficiently using assets and resources to minimize cost.
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are met on projects.
• Attend and represent the company on bid walks and potential projects.
