Job summary

SE&M Constructors, LLC is seeking a lead pipefitter/plumber to oversee field activities and manage a crew of up to five technicians on industrial/commercial projects in Raleigh, NC. You will follow direction from the Superintendent to drive projects to completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in pipe fitting or plumbing, preferably in industrial or commercial environments
• OSHA 30 safety certification required
• Ability to lead a crew of up to five field personnel
• Experience reading blueprints, specs, and shop drawings
• Forklift or aerial platform experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Superintendent and see projects through to completion
• Measure and cut pipe (PVC, copper, brass, carbon steel) as required
• Solder, braze, thread, groove, cut with torch, and install hangers
• Repair malfunctions, leaks, and test pipe systems for safety and function
• Coordinate material orders five days or more in advance
• Lead and supervise a crew of up to five and ensure safety compliance
• Maintain communication with General Contractors, inspectors, and clients
• Field fabricate standard piping offsets and coordinate with Fabrication Shop
