Ames Construction is seeking a skilled pipe foreman to supervise on-site crews on heavy civil projects. You will ensure safety, coordinate daily activities, and supervise crew performance while aligning with project plans and schedules.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years as a pipe foreman, knowledge of OSHA standards, and experience with survey equipment. This on-site role demands physical endurance and the ability to manage crews under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a pipe foreman/supervisor in highway heavy civil construction.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Instill safety as a top priority.
• Provide on-site supervision and direction to crew members.
• Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and personnel.
• Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly.
• Fill out daily foreman reports.
• Analyze and resolve issues that may arise.
• Explain and understand survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, GPS).
• Manage all excavating activities for your crew.
• Other duties as assigned.
