Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a pipefitter, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in pipefitting preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in pipefitting and safety (e.g., OSHA) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of pipefitters, ensuring work meets project specs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work activities, including resource allocation, task assignments, and progress monitoring to meet milestones.
  • Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe environment.
  • Inspect work for quality and compliance with industry standards and project specs; adjust as needed.
  • Identify and resolve issues or conflicts to maintain project timelines.
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers, engineers, other foremen, and team members for smooth execution.
  • Prepare and maintain records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, and material usage.
  • Mentor and train team members, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
