Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled Facilities Electrician to join the Facilities Department. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across EAS buildings, grounds, and production support equipment.

You will read drawings, work with electrical tests, and perform preventative maintenance while following NEC and safety guidelines. Travel between EAS locations and on-call responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

  • Read and comprehend English or Spanish effectively.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Five+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Journeyman-level training or apprenticeship completion preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility lighting, receptacles, branch circuits, panels, disconnects, transformers, motors, controls, and related electrical systems.
  • Bend and install conduit (Rigid, IMC, EMT) with minimal supervision.
  • Pull, label, terminate, test, and document conductors and electrical devices.
  • Support electrical connections for production equipment, offices, facility improvements, and capital projects.
  • Read electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and construction documents.
  • Use test equipment to diagnose failures and verify operation.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical systems.
  • Apply lockout/tagout and electrical PPE and safe practices.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and communicate to leadership.
  • Coordinate electrical contractors, inspections, shutdowns, and restorations.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, panel schedules, labels, and testing records.
  • Respond to emergency electrical calls and support safe restoration.
  • Assist and train maintenance personnel as needed.

Job description

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a skilled Facilities Electrician to join our Facilities Department. The Facilities Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems serving EAS buildings, grounds, and production support equipment. This position works across multiple facilities and is expected to complete electrical work safely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable codes, company standards, and individual qualifications.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with overtime, travel between EAS locations, and on-call work as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate work orders, panel schedules, labels, drawings, testing records, and material usage.
  • Respond to emergency electrical calls and support safe restoration of facility operations.
  • Assist and train maintenance personnel when electrical knowledge is required for assigned work.
  • Other duties may be added as needed by supervision.
Education Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, or related experience in commercial or industrial electrical services as determined by department management.
  • Five or more years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Journeyman-level training, electrical apprenticeship completion, or applicable electrical license preferred.
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable electrical safety requirements.
  • Experience bending and installing conduit and pulling and terminating conductors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems using meters and test instruments.
  • Ability to read shop drawings, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Good verbal communication, documentation, planning, and customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support continuous improvement and changing facility needs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand and work for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels may be at or above 90 decibels.
  • Ability to perform electrical work at heights utilizing ladders and lifts and wear required electrical PPE.
