Job description

Total Safety is seeking Boilermakers (NCCER preferred) with Deluge Systems/Bolt Up/Screw Pipe experience to provide maintenance services, installation of pipe, fittings, valves, and piping systems. Responsibilities include repairs and inspections of boiler components, working with towers and exchangers in industrial settings to ensure operational integrity.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Experience in maintaining job site documentation, such as job time sheets and building drawings.
2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.
3. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pipe fitting.
4. Ability to perform work in challenging positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, working in ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
5. Willingness to work alternative shifts, weekends, and travel as needed.
6. Skill in tightening and loosening bolts on flange connections and manways per ISO drawings and work plans.
7. Assist with installation/removal of blinds for pressure testing.
8. Knowledge of pipefittings, bolts, valves, etc.
9. Ability to assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
10. Use of impact wrenches, combination wrenches, and line-up pins for installation tasks.
11. Perform other duties as required.

Experience and Requirements

1. Minimum of 3+ years' boilermaker experience in fire protection, petrochemical, or oil refinery industries preferred.
2. Ability to carry and move equipment/tools weighing up to forty pounds.
3. Valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
4. Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol screening, including UA, hair follicle, and breathalyzer tests.
5. Experience in industrial or shop environments, with exposure to weather, high pressure, chemicals, and noise.

Educational Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. NCCER certification in Pipefitting/Boilermaker (preferred).
3. Current TWIC card.
