Job summary

Team Industries, Inc. in Port Arthur, TX is seeking an experienced pipe welder to assemble pipe components, weld joints, and perform fit-up checks per isometric drawings.

The role requires precise, on‑the‑job fabrication and the ability to read specifications on safety and operating procedures. You will operate cranes for lifting, purge pipes, and execute TIG, MIG and flux-core welds with uphill or down-hill progression as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years on-the-job welding experience.
• Ability to pass X-Ray and weld multiple processes.
• Ability to MIG root with down-hill progression/Flux core fill and cap with up-hill progression (6” diameter).
• TIG out with all passes being up-hill progression.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pipe components by tacking them in place prior to welding.
• Confirm squareness of joints fit-up.
• Confirm joint configuration and alignment.
• Verify pipe joints are aligned per drawings.
• Purge pipe to be welded.
• Weld joints.
• Grind out temporary tacks.
• Position pieces to be welded.
