Job summary

L.B. Foster Company is seeking a diligent pipe coater to perform custom hand coating on steel pipe products, following standard work methods and safety practices in a production setting.

Responsibilities include following safe procedures, maintaining a clean area, interpreting instructions from the Foreman, meeting shipment deadlines, and supporting quality and production teams to identify improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a production environment.
• Pipe coating experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safe work practices and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Carryout verbal and written instructions from Foreman.
• Complete jobs in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipment.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
• Trained to complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.
• Trained to set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools.
• Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
• Work with quality and production teams to identify areas for process improvement.
• All other duties as assigned.
