Jobot in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks a Production Operations Manager to lead a high-volume OCTG and pipe coating facility. You will drive production performance, safety, quality, and throughput while mentoring supervisors and operators.

We value hands-on manufacturing leadership with experience in steel pipe, tube mill, tubular processing, and coating operations. You\'ll partner with maintenance, drive KPIs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership in OCTG or steel pipe manufacturing.
• Experience in high-volume production environments.
• Knowledge of KPIs, throughput, and uptime.
• Hands-on leadership with floor engagement.
• Background in pipe coating or tubular processing preferred.
• Lean manufacturing or process optimization experience preferred.
• Strong communication and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across pipe coating and tubular processing production lines.
• Oversee ID/OD coating operations.
• Ensure coating quality, throughput, yield, and operational efficiency.
• Drive production performance, on-time delivery, labor utilization, and equipment uptime.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including scrap, downtime, labor utilization, yield, and equipment uptime.
• Partner with maintenance and production teams to maximize reliability and flow.
• Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, operators, and production personnel.
• Maintain safety, quality, and operational standards across the facility.
• Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and optimization initiatives.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow priorities, and production planning.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to production and quality issues.
