Job summary

Intertek Pipe/Coating Bench Inspector in Houston, TX will perform inspection activities in pipe mills and coating facilities, record results, and witness testing as required. The assignment runs for 2 weeks starting in September, with a follow-on project in Baytown, TX in October.

Hourly pay rate is $25 per hour. Required: at least five years in pipe-related QA, knowledge of national codes and drawings, high school diploma or higher, fluent English, proficient in MS Office and email, and strong

Qualifications

• Five years of experience with pipe-related QA systems.
• Able to interpret national codes and drawings, data sheets and specifications.
• High school diploma or GED or higher education.
• Fluent in English; proficient in MS Office and email.
• Strong teamwork and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection activities using measurement tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Provide daily inspection results to the Lead Inspector or Project Coordinator and issue inspection reports as required.
• Witness testing and monitor project activities as needed.
• Witness/verify pipe loadout onto trucks, railcars, barges or vessels in accordance with specs and industry standards.
