Job summary

Seah-Steel-US is seeking a Heat Treat Inspector in Houston, TX to operate and assist in heat-treating pipe material in accordance with plant policies. This full-time role requires ensuring safe, compliant operation and producing heat-treated material that meets specifications.

The position emphasizes reporting tasks, maintaining equipment and records in ERP, and following safety rules. Candidates should have a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and may have 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted; not strictly required.
• 1 year of experience or on-the-job training preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of OCTG pipe inspection is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Report to immediate supervisor for briefing on daily tasks.
• Follow PPE policies and safety rules.
• Provide and assist with maintenance on equipment being operated.
• Maintain clean, debris-free work areas.
• Assist in verification and recording of production in ERP system and required documents.
• Produce prime heat-treated material meeting specifications.
• Ensure product meets required specifications through first and last article heat-treat processes.
• Inspect area and equipment.
• Assist in maintenance shutdowns for repair work.
• Communicate concerns or questions to Heat Treat Supervisor to achieve quality product.
• Assist in charging and discharging material on racks.
• Document production and findings for material and equipment records.
• Communicate problems with material and equipment to Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
