Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA, is hiring a Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) design engineer for the Pilot Systems Engineering group focused on the C-130 platform. This is a non-flying, on-site, full-time role supporting aircraft integration and testing.

The successful candidate will design and refine PVI solutions, collaborate with aircrews and engineers, and provide SME briefings and training to test crews and production staff.

Qualifications

• Recent DoD heavy/bomber/tanker/transport aircraft operational and/or training experience as a pilot or navigator.
• DoD Active Secret clearance to be available.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, simulate, and refine PVI solutions for C-130 aircraft.
• Work with aircrews, engineers, and simulation technicians to design, implement, evaluate, and document PVI designs.
• Provide SME support to brief and train test crews, production aircrew and training systems engineers.
