Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) design engineer to support the Pilot Systems Engineering group on the F-16 program, with opportunities in 5th Generation and ADP efforts.

The role includes researching PVI mechanizations, providing SME input in design reviews and flight test reviews, and collaborating with pilots, engineers, and simulation staff to document enhanced aircraft capabilities and publish pilot guides.

Qualifications

• Recent DoD tactical aircraft operational and/or training experience as a pilot.
• DoD Active Secret clearance or higher expected.
• Demonstrated aviation/technology development or test experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot SME and PVI design engineer for cockpit interfaces.
• Participate in design review meetings, system/test reviews, and program support.
• Collaborate with pilots, engineers, and simulation teams to design, implement, evaluate PVI mechanizations; author guides and deliverables.
